PROJECT: Birdsong Garden

TYPE OF PROJECT:
It is a vegetable garden that we planted in March 2020 before the lockdown began.
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART?
The hardest has been the weeding as the soil contained lots of weeds and we didn’t want to use weed killer. We have to weed every week!
WHAT WAS THE EASIEST PART?
The best thing about our new garden has been getting to plan, choose the plants and plant them as a family and then keeping track of how everything is growing together. Lily is excited to learn about growing our own food. We have just started using the herbs and the lettuce and are looking forward to eating the tomatoes and kale next.
