When the storm is raging, the power is out and you don’t know when it’s going to end there are few places to turn to find information. The Bermuda Weather Service is an obvious choice for updates and info.
After launching their annual Hurricane Awareness Week earlier this month they want to make sure you know there is plenty of information, tips and places you can find all the latest news. The biggest push is social media, specifically the Bermuda Weather Service Facebook page.

With technology at our fingertips 24/7, even when the lights go out, it’s the first place to turn for news, updates, and weather information. The BWS Facebook page promises reports, satellite & radar imagery, and up to the minute news. A source of constant communication throughout a storm the Facebook page allows the BWS to answer questions and respond to concerns in real time.
They are encouraging people to like the page and check it frequently, be it to know if there is going to be rain for your cookout or when the winds of a hurricane are finally going to die down.
June 1st marked the official start of the North Atlantic Hurricane Season, which runs until Nov 30th. The Bermuda Weather Service wants to make sure you’re plugged in, informed, and ready for any weather.
